The prison Purple Wood God King used to hold captives lay beneath the square beside the imperial palace.
The thick stone paving of the square before the palace was inscribed with layers of formations. At the very center stood a towering black stone pillar, above which floated a silver eye that constantly swept its surroundings. Any would-be intruder would be stopped and discovered.
The space below was vast, containing layer upon layer of prisons—eight hundred and eighty-one levels in all. Each level had different punishments, growing ever more terrifying the farther down one went. After all, this was where Purple Wood God King tortured and tormented those who opposed him.
To make many powerful cultivators submit, some were directly soul-controlled. Others possessed Mind Will that was too powerful and refused to submit; unwilling to kill them, he imprisoned them instead, using all manner of torture to force them to bow their heads.
The remnants of Wu Kingdom, however, were mostly weak and held no value for enslavement, so they were generally kept within the first hundred levels.
But beginning from the eight hundredth level, the prisoners were Chaos Master level existences.
On the eight hundred and twenty-ninth level of the prison, icy cold aura filled the air. Ming Yong and Suo Men appeared there together and looked at the purple-haired figure immersed in black icy water. Chains bound her body as she sat cross-legged, unmoving amid the various punishments inflicted upon her.
There was also an imprint of a purple sword phantom between her brows.
"Princess Kexin." Ming Yong and Suo Men exchanged a glance and spoke at the same time.
The purple-haired woman sitting cross-legged sensed the pain in her body disappear and opened her eyes. They were sharp and piercing, like swords.
