As the Yao Clan forged alliances and helped awaken Zi Yan as Dragon Emperor, Xiao Yan entered the Heavenly Tomb and defeated Gu Yao, only to face Ling Quan’s accusation and arrest order.

• Dan Saint helped Yao Chen begin rebuilding his body while Soul Hall prepared to attack Starfall Pavilion, and Yao Dan later protected the pavilion from Hun Miesheng.
• Yao Dan brought Yao Chen and Xiao Yan to the Yao Clan, where Yao Chen refined a pill and Xiao Yan defeated several clansmen in the arena.
• Yao Dan secured the Nine Profound Marrow Cleansing Pill and agreed to protect Shi Clan geniuses, while Xiao Yan survived a hundred moves against Yao Ling to earn the Nine Nether Wind Flame.

Yao Ling aided Xiao Yan through the Heavenly Tomb, advanced her Soul power, and strengthened the Yao Clan’s ties with other clans. She joined Xiao Yan and Mang Tianchi to defend the Yan Alliance, where a stronger Soul Hall figure arrived after her clash with Soul Clear Saint.

• Ling Quan prepared to punish Xiao Yan, but Gu Yuan ended the confrontation after Yao Ling intervened on Xiao Yan’s behalf.
• Yao Dan advanced to Eight-star Dou Sheng, forged an alliance with the Yan Clan, and later won a fierce fight against Gu Lie.
• Yao Ling saved Xiao Yan and Xun'er from Hun Clan forces in the Heavenly Tomb, then helped them reach Xiao Xuan’s tomb.

Yao Ling and Xiao Yan secured the Fragmented Map, strengthened their ties with the Yao Clan, and traveled to the Barren Ancient Region to seek the Bodhi Ancient Tree. After facing Hun Yu and surviving the tree’s puppet guardians alongside rival teams, they were carried inside to begin its trials.

• Yao Ling drove Hun Meng and the Soul Hall forces from the Northwest Continent, then helped the Heavenly Snake Mansion join the Yan Alliance.
• Xiao Yan and Yao Ling investigated the Magma World, where the Tou She Ancient God Jade awakened a colossal being beneath Jia Nan Academy.
• At the Space Trading Convention, Yao Ling won the Fragmented Map from the Hun Clan and gained the loyalty of Treasure Mirror Mountain and Water Lake Gate.
• Xiao Yan and Yao Dan recognized each other as Earth transmigrators, became sworn brothers, and learned from the map that the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame would descend in three years.
• Yao Shao helped Xiao Yan fuse the Yao Clan’s Heavenly Flames, raising his strength before he and Yao Ling left for the Barren Ancient Region.
• After Hun Ya attacked them, Xiao Yan’s group crossed the poisonous miasma and rescued Yun Yun, Nalan Yanran, and the Flower Sect from the Heavenly Nether Sect and magical beasts.
• At the Ancient Domain Platform, Xiao Yan reunited with Xun’er while Hun Yu declared his intent to kill Xiao Yan and led an alliance toward the Bodhi Ancient Tree.
• Yao Ling escaped Hun Yu’s group during the beast tide, then Xiao Yan’s party reached the Bodhi Ancient Tree and joined three other teams to defeat its Half-Saint puppets before the tree carried them inside.
