Background / History

An Xiu manifested Makima as his second avatar to infiltrate and take control of the Jujutsu World's leadership. The system gave her a distinct identity: an elite sorcerer from a high-ranking Tokyo family, allowing her to approach the higher-ups without association with An Xiu or Seele. Though she possessed a physical human-like body, her retained devil traits made her essence closer to a curse. 12

Immediately after her manifestation, An Xiu granted her the Dominion of the Devil Authority, the Authority of the Herrscher of Restraint, and the Word Spirit Technique. Makima began by subduing her family head, then used the family's influence to rise through the Jujutsu World. Within weeks, she had dominated nearly half of its higher-ups, controlled most of Tokyo's leadership, and was moving against Kyoto. 12 13

As an executive, Makima presented herself as a diligent and considerate superior. She organized Tokyo's sorcerer affairs effectively, won over the Director's Office staff, and recruited Miwa Kasumi and Nishimiya Momo as personal guards. Her control of the higher-ups enabled her Special Grade promotion and gave her access to the Jujutsu World's resources. 13 20 21

During the Inter-school Exchange Event, Makima captured the Cursed Womb Death Paintings Choso, Eso, and Kechizu, then subjugated Hanami and Leaking Pot. She later lured Choso and Mahito into a trap, defeated both with her Restraint Barrier, and brought them under her control. 17 19 22 23

Makima staged the Shibuya Incident to remove Gojo Satoru from active interference. Revealing herself to him as a curse, she suppressed his techniques with Restraint, overcame his Domain Expansion, used Word Spirit to immobilize him, and erased the relevant memories after placing him in a coma. 27 28

In the Pre-Civilization world, Makima became MOTH's chief representative for the Far East and Europe. She recruited Pardofelis to identify severe criminals in Dusk Street, pushed through aid and research proposals for Honkai Sickness patients, and persuaded Aponia to undergo examination at an experimental base. 194

Makima later used her influence to unify the upper ranks of the Far East and Europe. She continued developing Restraint, eventually creating a refined barrier that could stop Honkai Energy at its boundary without suppressing allies within it. 195 198

Following An Xiu's move into the Kengan world, Makima consolidated smaller companies into the Apocalypse Consortium and became its president. She managed its Kengan Association entry, recruited Hongo Hina, negotiated with Nogi Hideki, manipulated the Extermination Tournament's match order, and dominated Hayami Katsumasa to eliminate off-field interference. 214 220 227 230

Makima is a tall woman with medium-length wine-red hair, light-golden eyes with circular patterns, and a composed smile that balances approachability with authority. 12

Publicly, she is diligent, polite, and attentive to subordinates. Her staff view her as an ideal superior, while Tsukumo Yuki finds her reputation for kindness and responsible leadership credible. 13 26

Behind this image, Makima is manipulative and ruthlessly utilitarian. She deceives opponents, takes control of defeated enemies rather than killing them when their abilities are useful, and is willing to use opponents as training resources. She also displays a personal sadistic streak, notably when defeating Gojo. 16 23 28 225
