According to a joint statement from Vought International and the U.S. military, the attack was carried out by Stormfront's arch-enemy, Tech Freak..."

"Why didn't you let me go?! If it were me, I definitely could've stopped the tragedy! Didn't you create me to handle things like this?! To win public favor?!"

The news anchor's mournful report echoed alongside an adult man's loud demands.

Inside the spacious conference room with its excellent view sat Stan Edgar, whose expression never changed; Jonah Vogelbaum, dressed in a medical coat; and Madelyn Stillwell, clad like a female executive.

The emotional man was Homelander, dressed in a dark blue bodysuit, with the Stars and Stripes draped around him as a cape, standing before the V-shaped table.

This "superhero," who had grown up in a laboratory since childhood and broken the sound barrier in flight at the age of eight, could not understand why they had not sent him to handle a national-level mission.

Yet the root of Homelander's anger was not Stormfront's death, nor the destruction of the research center...
