Inside the dim Manager's Office, Mad Rat Jakes slammed an empty bottle heavily onto the scratched metal desk and drunkenly shouted toward the outside.
What puzzled him was that he had clearly given the order.
Yet after waiting for quite a while, the little rats outside still showed no reaction at all, as if they had not heard his command.
That made him furious.
