As for that question, the Dimensional Audience finally received an answer after Tiandao brought Danika into the Quantum Cube.

Inside the Quantum Cube, the outline of the Brass Gear grew fainter and fainter beneath the Quantum Cube's terrifying Data Assimilation.
The tremors throughout the Quantum Space also became increasingly intense and obvious.
Even Chen Kong and the others outside were shaken so hard by the mounting vibrations that they staggered every which way.
No one knew how much time passed before, with a crisp snap, the Brass Gear finally dispersed completely into wisps of golden Quantum Data particles.
Like golden sand scattered by the wind, those Quantum Data particles lightly adhered to the walls surrounding the Quantum Cube, ultimately forming countless dense patterns resembling gears.
Yet the rules represented by those patterns were the rules originally contained within the Brass Gear, not the rules Tiandao wanted. They needed a certain degree of "modification" and "reshaping."
