The Lord of the Void's body was covered in pitch-black scales, each as large as a palace.
A pair of enormous wings sprouted from his back. Unfurled, they blotted out the sky and sun, casting endless shadows.
His four claws were incomparably sharp, each capable of easily tearing through space. His tail stretched a thousand zhang long, with a massive bone spike at its tip, wreathed in eerie black flames.
He looked down upon the Purple Cloud Palace from on high, amusement glinting in his three eyes. His gaze was like that of an adult watching a swarm of ants fight—entertaining, but utterly unworthy of serious attention.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk..." The Lord of the Void spoke, his voice booming like thunder and shaking the entire Eighth Heaven. "So this is the place that killed so many of my underlings? It looks... rather unimpressive."
His tone was airy, as though he were commenting on some trivial matter.
Lin Feng stood in midair, facing the terrifying beast with an expression as calm as still water.
"That's right."
Only then did the Lord of the Void's gaze settle on him. His central eye of darkness narrowed slightly, while the eyes on either side focused on him as well. All three eyes sized Lin Feng up at once. The sensation of being watched by three gigantic eyes was enough to send a chill through anyone's heart.
"Oh? It was you?" The Lord of the Void tilted his enormous head, his tone carrying a hint of surprise, though mostly disdain. "Peak late emperor lord? No... Early Demigod? Interesting. A tiny bit stronger than I imagined."
He raised a claw and scratched his chin with a talon larger than a mountain peak. The gesture looked almost human, yet paired with his hideous face, it only made
