Leona stood behind the shattered window of a relatively intact two-story building on the front line, studying the defensive layout of the square.
Her gaze swept across the densely packed enemy forces before finally settling on the sorcerer.
"We have to interrupt him," Leona said to Tycho and Sammael beside her. "The ritual is still continuing. Every second we delay, the rift could grow more stable, or even summon stronger daemons."
"A direct assault will cost us heavily," Captain Tycho said grimly. He could see the dense firepoints across the square and the massive Daemon Engines.
"We need to create confusion and draw their attention," Grand Master Sammael suggested. "The Ravenwing can launch a high-speed raid, cut through their lines, and disrupt their deployment."
Leona pondered for a moment, then shook her head.
"No. The risk is too great, and it may not effectively threaten the sorcerer atop the pyramid." She pointed toward a relatively open area on the flank of the square, littered with collapsed massive pipes and building wreckage. "Over there. The enemy's defenses are relatively weak, and there is enough cover to approach the square.
"Grand Master Sammael, I need you to send an elite squad of Attack Craft carrying Meltaguns and Plasma Weapons to launch a feint from that direction and draw enemy fire."
She then turned to Tycho. "Captain Tycho, once the enemy's attention is diverted, lead the main force of the Blood Angels in a frontal assault. You do not need to break through immediately, but put them under enough pressure that they cannot focus elsewhere."
"And what about you?" Tycho asked.
Leona looked once more toward the pyramid, determination flashing in her eyes. "I will personally lead a squad through the gap you create and strike directly at Gorg. Only by killing him
