Holding the Kusanagi Sword, Sasuke looked coldly at Mitokado Hamura and Utatane Koharu, who lay sprawled on the ground before him, covered in wounds.
"Any last words?"
After Hawking left, he had ordered the other members of Team Hawk to evacuate Konoha first. He had then infiltrated the two advisors' residences alone, taken down their guard ninjas, and found the last two higher-ups involved in the massacre of his clan.
That Hawking was far too terrifying. Even after Karin treated him, his injuries had not fully healed. Destroying Konoha this time was most likely impossible.
All he could do was fish in troubled waters and see whether he could kill Mitokado Hamura and Utatane Koharu. That would count as avenging most of Itachi's death.
"Sasuke, you need to understand Itachi's intentions. If Itachi were still alive, he would never want to see you kill us like this, or see you become a traitor to the Konoha he wanted most to protect.
"Spare us..."
Mitokado Hamura and Utatane Koharu were too old. Their strength was already inferior even to that of ordinary jonin, so how could they possibly be a match for Sasuke with his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan activated?
Even though Sasuke had not yet recovered from Hawking's punch, defeating the two of them was still easy.
Thus, in order to survive, they could only try to use Itachi to manipulate Sasuke into stopping.
Unfortunately, mentioning Itachi only made Sasuke angrier.
"I've already killed Danzo. You can go down and keep him company!"
Lightning Chakra covered the blade. With one swing, Sasuke sliced off both their heads, which landed side by side on the ground.
"Itachi was killed by you, by Konoha. I will avenge him."
