Second match: Loki versus Carter. Loki won.
Third match: Black Marvel versus Hawkeye. Black Marvel won.
Fourth match: Hulk versus Wolverine. Hulk won. In truth, neither could do anything to the other, but Hulk was stronger and forcibly hurled Wolverine out of the ring.
Fifth match: Human Torch versus Cyclops. Human Torch won. Cyclops's weakness in close combat was obvious.
Sixth match: Iron Man versus Hydra Stomper Steve. This was also a major highlight—the battle between two types of powered armor.
Setting aside the tangled love-hate relationship between the two as the Avengers' twin pillars in the Main Universe, there was no shortage of history between them in Universe 838 as well.
Steve's Hydra Stomper had been built by Tony's father, Howard. Tony also suspected that after Hydra brainwashed Steve, they had sent him to kill Howard and his wife.
Yet the result was somewhat beyond his expectations. Tony Stark actually won.
Originally, he had believed that the modified Steve alone could fight Tony, and with the Hydra Stomper's support, his odds of winning should have been higher.
But precisely because the Hydra Stomper had been built by Howard, Tony understood the armor too well. He used that advantage to shut down the entire machine, temporarily trapping Steve inside.
In the end, he pushed both man and armor out of the ring.
Seventh match: there was no seventh match. Since there were thirteen contestants in the second round, one person was bound to receive a bye. Jessica did not need to compete in a seventh match and advanced directly to the third round.
And so, the second round ended. Seven people advanced, while the contestants who failed to advance received an additional sports car compared to those eliminated in the first round.
