The reason its destructive power had seemed so limited.
Was that the Clow Cards had already been left with very little magic power during the process of being captured, so naturally they could not display much power.
And Sakura had initially been nothing more than a magical novice. She had never systematically studied magic and did not know how to wield magical power.
When she used the Clow Cards, she had not actually poured much of her own magic power into them. Most of it had probably relied on the little magic power remaining within the cards themselves.
If Clow Reed himself had used these Clow Cards, the destructive power they could unleash would likely have been vastly different.
But Hawking was different. He was a mature wizard who could skillfully control his own magic power.
When he had just used the Wind Card, he had not drawn upon the card's magic power at all. He had used only his own magic power, which was why its force had been so tremendous.
If this were on Earth, he could probably use the Wind Card to whip up a massive storm across an entire city.
"In that case, let's try this."
After testing the Wind Card under normal conditions and confirming that it had indeed greatly enhanced the card's power, he fused his magic power with Chakra and activated Demon God Mode.
"Go, Wind!"
He tested the Wind Card again. This time, the Wind Spirit swept forth and instantly pulverized an entire field of small meteors, making Hawking's eyes widen.
Clearly, as his magic power increased, the Wind Card's power had risen accordingly.
What did that mean?
It meant the Clow Cards were not merely for research, nor were only those few special cards useful to him.
If used properly, the
