A strange spatial magic circle appeared before Wanda. Then Hawking crossed the barrier between multiverses and appeared before the Wanda of this universe.
"That's impossible!"
When Wanda saw Hawking appear in this universe, disbelief immediately filled her face.
Even the Darkhold contained no magic for traveling between multiverses. It only had Dream Walking, which allowed one's consciousness to travel.
This husband of her counterpart from another universe could actually cross the multiverse and come to this universe directly. Just who was he?
"So this is thirty-four-year-old Wanda. She has a charm all her own."
After looking her over, Hawking conjured a chair and sat down.
Thanks to all of his enhancements, the Wanda of Universe 838 had basically maintained the appearance of an eighteen-year-old—youthful and beautiful.
The Wanda of this universe had grown normally and was now thirty-four. Much of her girlish innocence was gone, replaced by the distinctive allure of a mature woman. Only the Darkhold's influence had made her gaze somewhat fiercer.
"This place is far too dark. I don't like it. Let me give you a better environment."
With a wave of Hawking's hand, powerful Supreme Power erupted. The red Chaos Energy blanketing the dead forest instantly vanished, and the withered trees began recovering at a visible speed.
In just a few breaths, the place had become a beautiful paradise secluded from the world.
"Who exactly are you?"
Seeing this, Wanda summoned the Darkhold again, looking as though she faced a formidable enemy.
Hawking waved a hand reassuringly.
"Don't be nervous. I'm the husband of the Wanda from that universe. You may not be my wife, but you're still Wanda. I won't hurt you. I just want to help."
"Help me? Then don't stand in my way!"
