"Sorry, but given my current situation, there's no way I can help you research a gravity device. Maybe you can wait another two years, until I finish the project I'm working on now."
In the office, upon hearing why Hawking had come to see him, Reed immediately waved his hands and refused.
Under normal circumstances, he certainly would not refuse to help a righteous Super Hero like Hawking research and invent some equipment.
But the project currently in his hands was even more important. If he could complete it, not only would it bring his company back from the brink, it would also benefit all of humanity on Earth.
"I see. But as far as I know, you're already bankrupt. There's only one security guard and one cleaner left in this entire building. Do you still have the money to continue your current project? I think you should help me improve the gravity device first. Once you have the money, you can continue researching your project."
Hawking made his suggestion.
Reed scratched his head awkwardly.
"Well... there were indeed some unexpected problems, but I'll solve them soon. I'm planning to ask one of my college classmates to invest in the project. Once it's complete, I'll have a huge amount of funding coming in."
With his intelligence, he could easily make money by researching a few technological products. But he was too proud to bother with such low-level technology.
If he was going to do research, he wanted to research technological inventions that could change all of humanity—or even reshape an era.
Like his current project. It had consumed all of his company's funds and several years of hard work. It could use high-energy storms generated by the solar wind in the corona to trigger the evolution of all living organisms.
