Chapter Summaries

Hawking saved Akaza from the sunlight with summoned clouds so he could observe Kyojuro's Flame Breathing, then healed Kyojuro and let the battle continue. Kyojuro, Tanjiro, and Inosuke gained the upper hand, but Akaza remained confident that their stamina would run out.

• Kyojuro, Tanjiro, and Inosuke attacked Akaza's waist while Kyojuro held him in place, but Akaza tore off his arm and escaped just as the sun rose.
• Hawking summoned dark clouds that shielded Akaza from the sunlight, and Akaza prepared to kill the Demon Slayers.

Hawking resisted Gyokko’s strongest attacks, summoned the Ten-Tails to defeat his giant octopus, and later killed Gyokko with a single strike. As Tanjiro entered a state Hawking thought resembled Ultra Instinct, Muzan, Kokushibo, and Doma arrived on the battlefield.

• Gyokko transformed into his complete form, but his Divine Hands failed to affect Hawking’s Gold Cloth and its lightning burned him.
• Gyokko summoned a giant octopus, but Hawking released the Ten-Tails, which pinned down and tore apart the creature before Hawking recalled it.
• Hawking watched Tanjiro fight Gyutaro and noticed Tanjiro had entered a heightened state resembling Ultra Instinct.

Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Moons confronted Mr. Hawking, who easily stopped Kokushibo and began reading his memories. When Muzan ordered other demons to attack, Mr. Hawking summoned sunlight to engulf them, leaving the demons screaming in disbelief.

• Uzui Tengen gathered the others beside Mr. Hawking when Muzan Kibutsuji, Kokushibo, and Doma appeared and demanded Nezuko.
• Kokushibo attacked Mr. Hawking with his First Form, but Mr. Hawking shattered Kokushibo's blade and its energy with a flick of his hand.
• Kokushibo unleashed his strongest Move, but Mr. Hawking appeared behind him, restrained him, and began reading his memories.
• Muzan ordered Doma, Hantengu, Gyutaro, and Daki to attack while he prepared to flee if the battle turned against him.
