The uploader who posted the video was Ba Nana, nicknamed Brother Banana, a handsome bespectacled guy with over a million followers.
He had always produced high-quality game story analysis videos, and every one of them had received over a million views.
And now, his latest video about a shocking Easter egg was around four minutes long.
Within just twelve hours of being posted, it had received 1.13 million views, along with countless danmu comments.
But strangely enough, after the video went viral, it was suddenly taken down. There was no explanation, no reason—it simply vanished without warning, sparking plenty of curiosity and questions.
However, the next day, the video was reposted.
This time, compared to the original four-minute version, the reposted video had an additional fifty seconds.
Players and netizens who had not seen it flooded onto Danmu Network, wanting to see what kind of shocking Easter egg it was.
As the video began, Brother Banana first offered an apology.
He said that taking down yesterday's video had been his own decision and had nothing to do with the platform.
The reason he had taken it down was because he had made another major discovery.
So, after removing the video and adding his new discovery, he reposted it.
All for the sake of quality.
That earned him plenty of likes, coins, and favorites from viewers.
Once the introduction was over, the actual content began.
Brother Banana's voice slowly rose alongside the footage.
[I'm sure many players have heard of Dark Forest to some extent, and I also believe many of you have played and cleared it.]
[But the problem with this game is its utterly baffling plot. It's so obscure and awkwardly presented that even after clearing the first playthrough, many players are still left confused about what it was trying to say.]
[For an analysis of the game's story, you can watch one of my other videos. This video has nothing to do with the plot itself, so please forgive me.]
[The focus of this video is the shocking secret the developers hid across three games—a secret that is difficult to discover and incredibly easy to overlook!]
As Ba Nana's explanation continued, the netizens watching gradually became engrossed.
Indeed, many players who had played Dark Forest still could not figure out whether the protagonist had actually escaped the forest even after clearing the game.
Was letting go of everything and falling asleep into a dream the true ending, or was making one final desperate gamble and burning down the great tree the true ending? No one could say for sure.
There were story analyses, of course, but games with multiple endings never had a fixed answer.
That left everyone with their own interpretations, impossible to reconcile with everyone else's.
But it was precisely because the story was worth exploring and discussing that players were willing to experience a second or even third playthrough.
Brother Banana must have studied it inside out, right?
After all, he had even made a story analysis for Dark Forest. He was clearly a true fan.
Many people had been scared out of their wits even on their second playthrough, let alone paid attention to the story.
At that moment, footage from Dark Forest appeared in the video.
Brother Banana's voice sounded again.
[Before I begin, let me say a little more about the game's background. The story of Dark Forest takes place in a forest overseas. For some bizarre reason, the trees began growing wildly, blocking off the roads and preventing people outside from entering and people inside from leaving. Over time, because of a certain kind of mushroom, the people in the forest began mutating, and monsters appeared. Those of you who reached the ending know that this was actually caused by some kind of extraterrestrial lifeform. It probably controlled the entire forest to protect itself, but it also harmed humanity.]
[And something like this would definitely alarm the authorities. They would even deploy military force to venture into the forest. As for whether they were there to save people or conduct research, that's hard to say.]
[But!]
Brother Banana's voice suddenly paused, and two screenshots appeared in the video.
The first showed an abandoned, rust-covered tank, pierced through and crisscrossed by trees, its hull becoming a breeding ground for branches.
The second showed a helicopter with a shattered windshield and bent rotors, equally old and dilapidated, pierced through by tree branches.
[Were the ones who entered the forest really a single nation? Or rather, was it only one nation? Take a look at these two pictures. Do you see the logo on the tank and helicopter?]
The netizens watching at their computers immediately widened their eyes and examined the images closely.
On the wrecked tank and helicopter in the images was a highly conspicuous emblem.
The outer ring was a circle with three protrusions, like a valve. In the center was a white ring, along with three inward-facing arrows.
Beside it were three English letters: FBC.
Seeing this, the players in front of their screens were completely baffled, unable to understand what he was trying to imply.
Many games had official organizations like this. Not just Dark Forest—even popular gun, car, and ball games had them.
Everyone had grown accustomed to it.
Ba Nana's voice continued.
[At first, I didn't know what this symbol represented, so I treated FBC as a military organization within the game and didn't pay much attention to it. After all, plenty of games have them. But then, I saw this.]
Another screenshot appeared in the video.
It was a document covered in stains, clearly aged and yellowed by time and windblown dust.
Its contents roughly said:
A squad of soldiers had struggled to survive in the forest for several days, surrounded by danger at every turn.
Then, for some unknown reason, one of their comrades began becoming mentally unstable.
While clutching his Flamethrower, he would sometimes grin foolishly, sometimes stare into the distance, sometimes mutter to himself, and sometimes ramble nonsense like, "She's calling me," or, "She needs me."
His comrades merely assumed that the pressure had become too much and his body could no longer endure it. So they slowed their pace and gave him more time to rest.
But they never expected that one night, while everyone was asleep, he would actually run away!
He vanished with his Flamethrower. No matter how they searched, they could not find him, and he nearly put the remaining soldiers in danger.
So, at the end of the document, its author furiously referred to that soldier as a "useless deserter"!
Seeing this, some players who had cleared Dark Forest suddenly remembered.
They had encountered this deserter in the game's truth ending!
He lay naked among a crowd, talking in his sleep, clearly trapped in a hallucination.
Only after the player gave him two punches could they take his Flamethrower, then burn that extraterrestrial lifeform to death in roaring flames.
In the video, Ba Nana continued his explanation.
[There are many documents like this in the game. Players who have played Dark Forest should have found them—they're basically used to supplement the game's background. And everyone should have noticed the deserter in the document too. That's right, in the truth ending, he was controlled and fell into hallucinations. But that isn't the key point. Look at the upper-left corner of this document.]
Hearing that, the players immediately looked over and found the exact same symbol from the tank and helicopter in the upper-left corner!
FBC!
But this time, there was also a long English phrase beneath it explaining what FBC meant.
Federal Bureau of Control!
[Federal Bureau of Control. All right, let's sort this out.]
Brother Banana paused, then continued.
[First, after the forest mutated, this FBC sent tanks and helicopters into the forest. From that, we can tell that FBC possesses considerable military power.]
[Next, these tanks and helicopters were all wrecked in the forest for some reason, and they had been wrecked for a very long time. That shows the forest's mutation exceeded their expectations. Combined with this document, we can see that the stranded soldiers did not fare well in the forest and may even have suffered misfortune.]
[Since force didn't work, they sent people in to conduct research and investigation, hoping to solve the problem at its source. And so our protagonist entered the picture. From this, we can also tell that the protagonist belonged to FBC.]
[This also tells us that FBC possesses advanced scientific technology.]
[But what exactly is FBC? Is it truly affiliated with a nation? If so, which nation? Here, I'll tell everyone: FBC doesn't belong to any single country! It should belong to multiple countries! Open your eyes wide, because what comes next will absolutely shock you!]
The footage shifted to 21 Points.
Sitting across the card table was none other than the psychopathic killer, Masked Man!
Players knew that whether in Story Mode or Challenge Mode, after protagonist Clancy won, he would face Masked Man in one final match of life and death.
And this was also the hardest match in the entire game.
Because Masked Man cheated. If players did not have enough Special Cards to deal with his cheating, they would definitely be killed by his tricks!
At that moment, Brother Banana's voice sounded once more.
[The reason I started looking into the FBC organization in Dark Forest was because 21 Points has a hidden line that shocked me. Pay attention—it is a hidden line! Ordinary players would never discover it!]
[To trigger this hidden line, you have to defeat every opponent in both the main story and Challenge Mode without taking any damage. Then, when challenging Masked Man, he says something.]
Brother Banana's voice abruptly stopped, but the video continued playing.
The protagonist Clancy appeared in the game with all his fingers intact as he faced the bloodthirsty madman. Nothing about the scene seemed particularly strange.
But what happened next made many players stare wide-eyed!
On the game screen, the several televisions behind Masked Man, regardless of their size or position, suddenly displayed the same logo.
And that logo was the very same symbol from the tanks, helicopters, and documents in Dark Forest!
They were completely identical!
Even more astonishingly, Masked Man said something, with Chinese subtitles clearly displaying his words below.
'Well done, Mr. Clancy. As expected of an FBC agent disguised as a cameraman. You defeated every opponent without a single injury. You've got some real skills, but next, Lady Luck won't favor you so much.'
Holy crap!
The players felt like their minds were exploding from the sheer amount of information.
In Dark Forest, this FBC seemed like a military organization. It had tanks, helicopters, researchers, and investigators, and it faced monsters and mutated creatures.
How had it suddenly appeared in the world of 21 Points?
Was there some connection between them?
Or could it be...?
The players stopped overthinking and continued watching the video.
Brother Banana's voice rang out again.
[At first, I thought the developers were just being lazy and reusing old assets. But after thinking about it, that didn't make sense. The condition for triggering this hidden line in 21 Points is too difficult. It was completely unnecessary and there was no need for it at all. So if they had no use for this asset, why temporarily assign protagonist Clancy an agent identity like this? What purpose would that serve?]
[But after thinking it over carefully, I couldn't stop. The more I thought about it, the more terrifying it became.]
[A line that could clearly have been omitted was forcibly added, made into a hidden line, and given a trigger condition requiring the player to take no damage throughout the game. That means this line is extremely important!]
[In a bloody card game of life and death, how could they show the abilities an FBC agent ought to possess? By having him take no damage from start to finish!]
[Then think of the military power and research technology FBC displayed in Dark Forest. That's enough to show just how enormous this organization's influence is! So here's my bold guess: the two games one hundred percent share the same universe!]
By this point, the players were too shocked to say anything.
They had assumed the two games were separate worlds.
They never expected that an easily overlooked logo would be the key factor connecting the two games!
FBC.
What exactly was this organization?
What were the developers trying to convey by doing this?
However, as the video continued, Brother Banana's voice rang out again.
[Do you think that's all? I'm sure everyone knows Visage, a genuine paranormal horror game. When I learned that Dark Forest and 21 Points shared the same universe, a few buddies and I stayed up all night clearing every chapter in Visage. And in Dwayne's chapter, we collected something we never would have dared imagine before.]
A screenshot appeared in the video.
It seemed to show a luxurious redwood office desk.
On it were a contract and a steel pen.
Under the dim yellow desk lamp, it looked somewhat eerie.
Because a line of English had been written across the contract in red bloodstains.
You don't give a fuck! (You don't care at all!)
And in the upper-left corner of that contract was a symbol that made the players feel a chill run through them.
FBC.
Why did an organization-related element like this appear even in a purely paranormal ghost game like Visage?
Could Visage's universe also be...?
Just as everyone struggled to process this, Brother Banana spoke again.
[So, Visage is probably part of the same universe too.]
[Now, think about it. What do these three games have in common? That's right, they're all horror games. They contain hauntings, monsters, mutated creatures, serial killers, and other such existences. And the stories of all three games take place in different countries.]
[That's why I said FBC belongs to multiple countries. The three games take place in different locations, yet FBC is present in all of them. And considering this organization has military and scientific research technology, the only possibility is that it is a multinational organization spanning the globe.]
[So here's my personal speculation: the FBC organization connecting these three horror games was most likely jointly established by multiple countries specifically to fight against and research these abnormal beings!]
[In the larger world behind these horror games, there are mutated creatures! There are monsters! There are also serial killers, paranormal entities, and ghosts. What does humanity have? Based on the information revealed so far, only agents, investigators, researchers, and the like.]
After seeing this, a massive amount of information swirled through the players' minds, and for a moment, they did not know how to process it.
What exactly were the developers trying to do?
Why did this FBC organization appear in three consecutive horror games?
What was this organization's purpose?
Was it merely hidden behind the scenes, existing in the background stories to conduct research and investigations?
Probably... not that simple.
Otherwise, the developers would not have gone to such lengths to bury such obscure clues across three games.
There was very likely something big in the works!
Then they remembered what Shuo Guang had said: the next game would be a spin-off of another large-scale game.
A large-scale game.
The more the players thought about it, the more they looked forward to seeing what this so-called large-scale game would be like.
And just how "large-scale" would it be?
At the end of the video, Brother Banana spoke again.
This time, however, he left countless players deep in thought.
[Did everyone see producer Shuo Guang's first-day sales message? Think about why he used a document screenshot format. I'll put up an image here for everyone to see. Look carefully.]
At that moment, another screenshot appeared in the video.
It was the document-style image of the sales message producer Shuo Guang had posted on Danmu Network.
There had seemed to be nothing unusual about it before.
But after watching the video, the players finally noticed—
In the upper-left corner of the document was a logo that made their expressions shift again and again.
FBC.
I corrected the capitalization at the beginning of the previous chapter and standardized it as FBC. Everyone probably already knows what I'm planning to do: turn the Foundation into games. I had intended to do that from the start.
