As time passed.
The Uchiha gradually finished preparing the fireworks, red carpet, and decorations.
Representatives from Sunagakure, the village closest to Konoha, had also arrived.
Rasa's brother-in-law, Yashamaru, had come, followed by a boy and a girl—Temari and Kankuro.
Since they were old acquaintances, Shamu had personally gone to the entrance to receive them.
Yashamaru still looked frail, thin and slight, but beneath his golden hair, his complexion had improved considerably.
Now that Gaara no longer went berserk, Yashamaru no longer had to look constantly worried.
He had become much more cheerful overall.
When he saw Yashamaru and the other two approaching, Shamu strode over and gave Yashamaru a slap on the shoulder.
"After all these years, you're still so skinny."
Yashamaru staggered slightly. He truly had not expected Shamu to greet him at the entrance. After all, Shamu was already the head of a clan.
Kankuro, whose face was painted with purple markings, looked rather surprised. He had never heard that his uncle had a friend in the Uchiha Clan.
Kankuro chimed in, "Yashamaru's always been like this. No matter how much he eats, he's still weak. Who are you? I didn't know Yashamaru had an Uchiha friend." He was utterly uninhibited around strangers.
Temari, with her golden hair and giant fan strapped to her back, had grown into a graceful young woman and was more composed. She vaguely had a guess, but did not dare speak.
Once Yashamaru regained his footing, he was startled. His face darkened. "Do not be rude! Kankuro, this is Uchiha Shamu, the new head of the Uchiha Clan!"
The overly familiar Kankuro shuddered. The clan head was actually this young—and had personally come to welcome them?
Kankuro quickly straightened up and bowed to Shamu. "Lord Shamu, please forgive my rudeness."
