"Is this the idea you came up with? Do you know how much foot traffic Yachi has lost?"
"The villagers' complaint letters have nearly overflowed the mailbox!"

The Third Hokage tapped the desk, deeply dissatisfied with Danzo.
Danzo's eyes were full of impatience. "The Uchiha had prepared for this long ago. I didn't know they would react like this either."
The Third Hokage took a drag from his pipe. "Leaving your Root in the Military Police Force was a terrible move. It has been utterly useless so far."
"Go ask around the village hall and see how foul Root's reputation is. Everyone takes a detour when they see them. How are they supposed to serve in the Military Police Force like that?"
Danzo's expression darkened somewhat. When Root had been trained in the past, the greatest emphasis had been placed on loyalty to him and on killing people.
Now, asking them to learn how to serve in the Military Police Force... people without any social sense simply were not suited for that kind of work.
Danzo grunted. "I'll think of another way."
"Withdraw your people from the Military Police Force first," the Third Hokage said flatly.
"Impossible!" Danzo immediately grew agitated.
He had finally managed to insert Root into the Military Police Force. Though Root had performed poorly, only by holding positions could they find other opportunities later.
