Orochimaru's Lab.
While Itachi and Shisui were still in Hidden Sound Village, Orochimaru had already conducted related cloning experiments.
However, the cloned Sharingan had not awakened at the time.
Since there were many other research projects, the matter had been set aside for the time being.
Now that they had returned to Konoha, Orochimaru's techniques were far better than they had been years ago.
Fugaku did not need to fight for the time being, so he wanted to see whether the cloned ordinary eyes could awaken again.
Shisui brought Fugaku and Shisui downstairs, where Karin led them through some basic sample collection and data entry.
"Orochimaru, come take a look at this."
As he spoke, Shamu took out the scroll containing Hidan.
He then explained Hidan's abilities to Orochimaru.
Orochimaru was intrigued as well. He had only read about this kind of immortal body in documents before; he had never seen a real specimen himself.
Shamu opened the sealing scroll.
He took out Hidan's somewhat charred head and placed it on the experiment table.
The body was placed not far from the head.
Shamu pried open his eyelids and activated his ocular power, casting an extremely crude genjutsu on him.
A few seconds later, Hidan regained consciousness.
Nothing had changed during the time he had been sealed, and the wounds in his mouth were still there.
His speech was therefore slurred. "Damn... Uchiha!"
"Lord Jashin... will bring down divine punishment..."
Orochimaru did not take out much.
He only took two scalpels. Picking one up, he stabbed it into Hidan's mouth, immediately rendering Hidan unable to speak.
Orochimaru's expression remained calm. Then, holding the scalpel, he cut a piece from Hidan's body right in front of him and took it away for testing.
Seeing Orochimaru's interested expression, as though he
