Whether it was Minato and Shion preparing the formation, or Cloud Village preparing the signal relay base stations,
it took them several months to get everything ready.
The formation anchors had kept up with the times as well. Anything that could be replaced with technology had been replaced with technology.
Some advanced materials were tougher and more durable than many natural ones.
Quite a few people from Konoha had arrived. On Shion's side, aside from her lover Taraho, Tenten and Ajisai were assisting her.
Cloud Village had flown over their aerial fortress and assembled the signal towers on site.
Although Minato could send them up with the Flying Thunder God,
technological devices related to spatial detection carried uncontrollable risks after spatial travel.
They could only be transported up there.
Shion and Minato's formation anchors were all small items, neither heavy nor space-consuming.
Cloud Village's signal relay devices, however, were six triangular towers a hundred meters tall.
The towers were squat and broad, and their three corners were even longer than their tips, since all three corners had to be embedded into the lunar surface.
The towers were hollow inside. Aside from technological detection equipment, they also contained vacant rooms.
If necessary, personnel could be stationed there as well.
Each of the six towers weighed over a thousand tons. Ordinary people could not possibly get them up there, but for this group of experts, it was easy.
They were currently at the Shinobi Professional League arena.
Since it was not wartime, the place was exceptionally open and spacious, making it suitable for this sort of work.
Everyone in the Celestial Organization knew that Madara had been resurrected.
The civilians, however, did not.
So the unfortunate Madara still had to conceal his identity for a while.
Madara was currently wearing Uchiha clan attire, and under his own control, his hair had returned to black.
His personal presence was simply too overwhelming; he always looked as though dominance was spilling out of him.
Without using the Transformation Technique, anyone could recognize him as Uchiha Madara at a glance.
Only in a sparsely populated place like this could he freely reveal his true appearance.
Quite a few people had come to watch something as important as creating a moon.
Such high-level ocular techniques were rarely seen under normal circumstances.
Sasuke could use Chibaku Tensei now as well, but he was nowhere near Madara's level.
Aside from the leaders of every village, Hashirama, Tobirama, and Izuna had all arrived.
Although everyone knew Madara had been resurrected, aside from the people of Sunagakure who had seen him when Hashirama planted trees,
only Hidden Radiance Village was deeply familiar with Madara. This time, quite a few members of the Uchiha Clan had come as well.
Every member of the Rumbling Squad had arrived.
Every Uchiha clansman who had awakened the Mangekyō had come to observe the casting of this large-scale ocular technique.
Opportunities to witness a high-level ocular technique of this scale were exceedingly rare.
When everyone saw Madara, their expressions were somewhat complicated.
After all, Madara was someone Shamu had personally designated, and Shamu had yet to make a mistake in any major matter.
Everyone still trusted Madara, but he had previously fought them all to the death.
Madara would not apologize to any of them, so no one greeted anyone else.
Though there were many people present, the atmosphere felt strangely cold and awkward.
After Izuna's resurrection, Madara's mental state had visibly improved.
He was no longer so irritable.
He was currently chatting with Hashirama. "The shinobi world has developed so quickly. Technology changes with every passing day."
Watching Cloud Village assemble six hundred-meter towers in barely half a day, Hashirama was also rather amazed.
"When we had just been resurrected, there were already things called telephones."
"Once Cloud Village sends those things up there, they say they can make wireless communicators. As long as you're within the shinobi world, you can talk anytime."
Madara possessed the Rinnegan himself. One of its abilities, the Projected Illusion Technique, was not something he used often.
But in principle, it was fairly similar to this, so it was not beyond Madara's understanding.
It was simply that what once required the Rinnegan could now be achieved through technology.
Madara could not help feeling somewhat reflective.
"During the Warring States period, the speed at which intelligence was transmitted could sometimes determine whether a shinobi clan lived or died."
"Now, it has become this easy."
"Yeah..." Hashirama agreed deeply.
Tobirama stood with his arms folded, watching the on-site coordination. He tiredly rubbed his temples.
Even with his mind, it had taken him quite some time to catch up with Orochimaru's progress.
Biotechnology and civilian technology—either field could benefit the people of this planet.
Aside from the soul-related matters he had to study, Tobirama had chosen to devote some effort to life sciences as well.
This time, he had come out to relax and watch Madara create a moon.
"Madara, everything's ready. We can begin at any time." Once Minato had finished coordinating his side,
he immediately called out to Madara.
Madara ended his conversation with Hashirama.
He walked to the center of a patch of rubble. Beneath it lay nothing but layers of rock, perfect material for making a moon.
Madara extended his right hand, and his eyes shifted into the Rinnegan. A black sphere appeared in his palm.
At first, the black sphere was only the size of a finger joint.
Empowered by Madara's ocular power, it grew larger and larger, slowly expanding from the size of a finger joint to the size of a human head.
In the end, it swelled into a pitch-black sphere three meters in diameter.
With a lift of his hand, the black sphere flew into the sky.
It flew higher and higher, until it was almost invisible to the naked eye.
Madara brought his hands together in a clap, and enormous ocular power erupted.
"Chibaku Tensei!"
The ground beneath their feet shook violently.
Then the rocky layers of the ground shattered like thin crackers and flew into the sky.
Since this job required precision and exact control,
Madara gradually increased the pull, continuously drawing every layer of rock out of the ground.
No one could remain standing where Madara was, and the other spectators all retreated farther away.
Rocks continuously flew toward the Chibaku Tensei core in the sky, forming a new stone sphere.
As the stone sphere grew larger, it rose higher as well.
Madara began to use his full strength. His hair turned gray-white once more, while the other Truth-Seeking Orbs began circling around him.
Madara slowly opened the Moon Eye.
As the immense ocular power continued to erupt, even ordinary Mangekyō Uchiha clansmen felt as if their heads had been struck by a heavy hammer, leaving them dizzy and oppressed.
Only Itachi, Yoya, and Sasuke, who possessed third-stage mastery-level Mangekyō, were unaffected, though they still felt some pressure.
The rock layers below continuously peeled away, as though the gravity of the shinobi world's planet had vanished.
Stones kept floating upward, creating a truly spectacular sight.
Everyone present watched helplessly as an enormous moon took shape.
This moon was twice as large as the previous one.
It now floated in midair.
Everyone began slowly installing the signal towers onto the moon.
