Yoya said without hesitation:
"Defeat you and take you captive."
Yugito was both amused and exasperated.
"Is that really what you think?"
Yoya scratched his head.
"That's right. If our two factions become enemies..."
"You'll have to fight for your ninja village, and I'll have to fight for mine."
"If I defeat you, then you'll be my prisoner."
Yugito looked at Yoya seriously. Seeing that his expression was one of complete certainty, she suddenly smiled.
"It's not bad that you think that way. You don't have so many worries."
Yoya looked a little embarrassed.
"I used to have reservations about being attracted to you."
"But the clan head said something that woke me up."
Yugito became interested. "Shamu? What did he say?"
"During the Warring States era, we Uchiha were hired by more than half the factions in the ninja world. Our enemies must be spread all over the ninja world."
As he spoke, Yoya drew a circle in the air to indicate just how many there were.
"In the first few ninja wars, the average ninja didn't even live to be thirty. If you hesitate over everything, you won't accomplish anything in the end."
"Later, I looked into it. There have been Uchiha who fell in love with people from enemy factions."
"You just have to capture them and bring them back as prisoners."
"We Uchiha are strong enough! As long as you can tie the other person up and bring them back, none of the other problems matter!"
Yugito said irritably, "What if you Uchiha get tied up by someone else?"
Yoya snorted. "Impossible. We Uchiha are the strongest. We can't be captured."
A smile appeared on Yugito's face.
"If it weren't for me, you would already have been captured."
Yoya looked embarrassed at that. "But we're allies
