Relocating the Entire Clan

After a period of preparation, the day the Uchiha Clan left Konoha had finally arrived.

On the day of their departure, many people from Konoha came to see them off.

Many Uchiha civilians had made quite a few friends in Konoha.

There were also some genin who had previously come to the Uchiha for practical combat training.

Whether the Uchiha had done it for political achievements or some other reason before,

these genin had received genuine improvements. They had come to see the Uchiha off with sincere hearts.

The Third Hokage and the others stood atop Konoha's high-rise buildings, watching the Uchiha people below.

Their feelings were somewhat complicated as well.

Although he had successfully driven the Uchiha away, he had done it in the worst possible way.

The Uchiha's blatant announcement had utterly ruined the Third Hokage's reputation.

Even his relationship with Jiraiya had grown somewhat distant.

The Third Hokage took a drag from his pipe, then slowly exhaled.

He could only hope Asuma would make something of himself.

All the Uchiha ninja traveled light.

But the crowd behind them was enormous—more than two thousand people, some of whom were family members.

The largest group consisted of clan members surnamed Uchiha who had no talent for ninjutsu.

Most traveled on foot. It was not that they lacked money for transportation, but that the Land of Fire did not have enough roads to accommodate them.

There were a small number of carriages, all reserved for people with special needs.

Of course, some people remained behind in Konoha.

Some ran businesses on the commercial streets and did not wish to leave, choosing to settle here permanently.

Others were studying medical ninjutsu at the hospital.

Some had family members who could not conveniently leave yet and simply chose to stay with them.
