Stone walls lined both sides. The farther down they went, the hotter it became, until a red glow soon rushed toward them.
When Obito entered and looked around, he found that the underground was filled with lava.
Crisscrossing paths stretched over the lava, and at the very center stood a massive sealing array.
Obito carried Shion to the sealing array at the center.
With one hand, he threw Shion onto the ground.
Obito formed several hand seals, the very seals he had obtained from Yomi to undo the seal.
To break the seal, Shion had to be within the range of this sealing array.
After Obito spent several minutes performing the hand seals, the seal merely flashed once before falling silent again.
Obito frowned, unable to understand what had gone wrong. After all, he had only obtained Yomi's memories; it was not something he had originally known himself.
Now that there was a problem with copying it by rote, he had no idea how to resolve it.
Shion was still unconscious beside him, so Obito simply placed a hand over her head and began reading her memories.
