The light around Indra grew even more dazzling, and his entire soul exploded.
Asura froze. What had his brother done?

Indra's consciousness had completely vanished. All that remained was this mass of energy.
Asura looked as though he had lost his soul.
He fell to his knees. "Brother... why?"
Hagoromo Otsutsuki sneered inwardly. Indra's actions might have seemed proud and unyielding, but they were utterly useless.
Indra's self-destruction would only annihilate his own consciousness. Before Hagoromo Otsutsuki, none of Indra's energy would go to waste.
Since Indra no longer wished to reincarnate anyway, this was the perfect chance to reclaim it.
