Shamu tested Daemon's Intent Reflection, then subdued him by trapping him and relentlessly attacking while his armor absorbed the reflected blows. Shamu escaped with Daemon and Madara to Orochimaru's Lab in Konoha, and Eida rushed to rescue her brother.

Neji learned from Tenten’s memories in another time-space how deeply she had mourned his death, then returned to Konoha and embraced the Tenten of his own time-space. He asked her to marry him, and she asked what had happened in the other time-space.

• Neji watched memories of Tenten’s life in another time-space, where she grieved for sixteen years after he died in the Fourth Shinobi World War.
• Shamu comforted Neji and agreed to witness Naruto and Hinata’s renewed wedding ceremony, while Sasuke asked him not to leave without saying goodbye again.
• Shamu sent Neji through a portal to Konoha and took Naruto and Sasuke to watch the battle, leaving a Shadow Clone behind.

• Shamu told Kazahana Koyuki he would establish a base in the Land of Snow, then ordered the Sound Four to follow her and help clear out Kazahana Dōtō’s remaining rebels.

Flying Waterfall arranged for Kisame to contact the Akatsuki before his Shadow Clone vanished, while Shamu escorted Deidara toward the Uchiha. Yoya and Shisui attacked Kakuzu and Hidan, but Kakuzu escaped underground and fled into the sea, leaving behind the Akatsuki's North Ring.

• Shamu reunited with Shisui and Itachi in a hidden cave, learned they had captured Deidara, and received a new quest to find a successor for Ōnoki.

• Danzo learned that Fugaku and Itachi had caused the destruction at the Uchiha Clan Grounds, then ordered Root to spread a story blaming Hiruzen for their defection.
• Hiashi and the Hyuga elders reviewed Fugaku’s recommendation for Hizashi to take over the Security Team and agreed to let the remaining Uchiha manage their districts with double pay.

After the two discussed preparations for future attacks through the night, Shamu was left about to depart while Fugaku and Mikoto remained with the clan.
