Neji and Tenten reunited, spent the night together, and prepared to marry the next day. As Shamu considered his upcoming advancement to Star Godhood, Konoha’s revived couples gathered to try on wedding clothes for a hastily arranged ceremony.

• Neji stayed beside Tenten overnight after promising they would marry, and Tenten fell asleep holding his hand.

• Hizashi learned that Neji had traded his life for his and begged Orochimaru to save him.
• Orochimaru demanded the abolition of the Hyuga Main and Branch Family system and the Caged Bird Seal, threatening to execute the Main Family if Hiashi refused.
• Hizashi accepted that he had no real choice and agreed to speak to Hiashi after Orochimaru promised to save Neji.
• Orochimaru removed the Caged Bird Seal from Neji's brain, implanted the First Elder's Byakugan, and Shamu healed his injuries.
• Neji woke, saw Shamu, and cried out that he could see; Hizashi excitedly called to him.

Hiashi agreed to give Orochimaru the Main Family’s Byakugan for research in exchange for the Main Family’s release and new eyes for Hizashi. As the Branch Family mourned sixty-five dead, Hyuga Teru and his allies prepared to overthrow the Main Family, and their next move remained unresolved.

• Hiashi agreed to hand Orochimaru twelve pairs of Byakugan for research into their possible evolution.
• Orochimaru gave Hizashi a pair of Main Family Byakugan, and Shamu restored his sight after Hizashi bit him.

Shamu summoned Kushina's chakra so she could reunite with Naruto, then discussed the threat Obito posed and his plan to truly resurrect Minato. The chapter left Shamu committed to finding a way to bring Minato and eventually Kushina back to life.
