Sky Island was not far from Alabasta, and Garen's airship soon arrived in the skies near Rainbase.
Garen had not stayed on Sky Island for long, but he had spared no effort in gathering quite a few good things there:
There were Poneglyphs to bring back for Robin's collection, the "sea motorcycles" Waipa that Nami was extremely interested in, and Sky Island specialties such as Visual Dials, Audio Dials, Wind Dials, and more.
But the most eye-catching item was the enormous sphere of assorted gold floating beside the airship.
It was incredibly heavy, nearly as large as the airship beside it, and under the high-altitude sunlight, it shone with a dazzling golden radiance.
These were all ancient treasures Garen had "excavated by force" from the ruins of Sky Island's City of Gold.
In Garen's hands, this gold would eventually become roads, buildings, Sea Trains, and bricks for the great cause of building Demacian Justice.
Through the airship's porthole, Enel stared at that giant golden egg and felt nothing but desolation.
That gold was all mine.
His divine treasure had actually been plundered clean by that shameless bandit.
Enel could not help sneaking a glance at Garen, who was leisurely drinking tea and chatting nearby, and a few more traces of resentment rose in his eyes.
That shameless bandit had not only swept away all of his "divine treasure," but had also brazenly melted his beloved flagship, the still-unfinished Ark Maxim, into gold bricks.
In response to Enel's tearful accusations, Garen merely gave him a cold reply:
"I'll get you a copper one another day. It conducts electricity even better."
Just as Enel was wallowing in grief and indignation—
"What are you looking at?!"
An iron fist wrapped in Armament Haki smashed heavily into Enel's head, leaving him dizzy and disoriented.
