As the phoenix flames died out, the CP0 Chief's life transformed into a vast amount of experience, and Garen finally reached the long-awaited level-up.
He had risen to the system's maximum limit: Level 18.
Besides a further increase in strength, Garen also received his final level-up reward: a new skill, Steadfast Bastion.
This skill came from Taric, the Shield of Valoran, in the game.
Its effects were:
"Bless an ally with Unyielding Bastion. Unyielding Bastion remains until a new target is selected or the user cancels it."
"Your non-targeted skills will also be cast from the allied unit blessed by Unyielding Bastion."
The skill's primary function was that when its user cast a skill, an ally could simultaneously cast the same one.
For example, if Garen used Ultimate Flash to fire a beam cannon, an equally powerful and equally massive beam cannon would be fired from that blessed ally.
One move, two beam cannons, double the joy.
Other than targeted skills that required a specific target, such as Taunting Shout and Demacian Justice, all other skills could be manifested through an ally.
This move had not been especially remarkable in the game, because Taric himself only had three other skills besides this one.
But Garen, with his cheat-like Skill Bar, had a skill list that looked like a Chinese browser game. The skills he could share with allies were far more than just three.
"Let's find someone to test it on."
Having obtained this powerful support skill, Garen immediately prepared to put it to practical use.
And now, after the CP0 Chief's death, the battle had completely become one-sided:
The Marines held an absolute numerical advantage. The Pacifistas of the scientific combat force had long been smashed into piles of scrap metal, while the government agents and Celestial Dragon guards
