"An aristocratic title?"
Vivi furrowed her brows slightly and could not help murmuring under her breath:
"How could this Knight start talking about that as soon as he opened his mouth..."
Vivi's impression of Garen immediately plummeted. The flawless Knight of Justice had suddenly fallen into a profit-driven bounty hunter.
After pondering for a moment, Vivi still spoke with a slight frown:
"If you insist on becoming a noble, I can discuss it with my father."
"As long as you help me resolve this crisis, earning a title with such merit would not be difficult."
"She's really gotten into character."
Garen had already leaned close to Nami and whispered.
"Yeah."
Nami turned her head and muttered softly into Garen's ear:
"It's far too suspicious for someone caught red-handed as an arms dealer to say something like that."
Yet Vivi had not noticed the strange atmosphere at all. She was only preparing to continue recounting her experiences.
"Enough!"
Garen rudely snapped:
"If you want to clear your name, could you at least make up a better excuse?"
Vivi froze, and all the words she had yet to say caught in her throat.
She finally realized that the Knight before her had not believed her explanation at all.
Garen had no intention of going easy on her just because she was a woman. He simply continued picking apart the holes in Vivi's story:
"An arms dealer carrying a huge sum of dirty money suddenly claims she's an undercover agent embedded in a criminal organization?"
"And your real identity is supposedly the princess of a kingdom?"
"This plot..."
Garen's words abruptly stopped, and he could not help muttering, "This plot feels familiar..."
He carefully examined Vivi's appearance.
Her face was covered in deliberately heavy makeup, and her taste in clothing was worlds apart
