Garen questioned the captured Five Elders about Imu and Uranus, then learned Imu had appeared at Mary Geoise after Spandam launched a rebellion there. Imu warned Garen that the real battle was beginning, leaving him facing the threat of Uranus and an imminent confrontation.
Five Elder "Gorbachev" revealed that Uranus was a hidden Sky Island built into the Red Line, and it rose into the sky as its ancient robots attacked Marine Headquarters. He explained that Imu planned to turn the island into a planet-striking projectile, leaving Garen to stop the destruction.
Garen confronted Imu aboard Sky Island and learned that Uranus was a kinetic weapon powered by huge propulsion engines. After Imu revealed that the engines had fully activated and Sky Island was beginning its inevitable descent, Garen laughed and challenged him, confident he had a way to stop it.
As Uranus plunged toward Marine Headquarters, Garen used Laurent's Eye of the Mind through Golden Lion to halt the world-ending weapon for an instant. Golden Lion, Fujitora, and the Alliance fighters then stopped its fall and exhausted its engines, leaving Imu shocked and panicked.
Imu revealed that he planned to use a powerful drug to surpass his limits after Uranus failed to eliminate Garen. He swallowed a large dose of the Forbidden Pills and transformed, leaving Garen facing an opponent whose strength had increased more than tenfold.
Imu revealed his mastery of humanity’s combat techniques and overwhelmed Garen with speed and devastating attacks, but Garen survived and kept fighting. Imu then threatened to kill the more than one hundred thousand people beneath the Sky Island, betting that Garen could not stop him.
Imu raced from Sky Island to Marine Headquarters and targeted Hancock and Reiju to force Garen to take the Forbidden Pills. Garen arrived in time to save them, and Imu realized Garen had taken the pills, which he believed would kill him.
Garen fought Imu after taking the Forbidden Pills, which steadily drained his life, and appeared to die when Imu turned him into a stone statue and sent him into the sea. The battle left the world believing Imu had won, but Garen secretly began recovering through his resurrection ability.
Imu believed he had killed Garen and tried to flee, but Golden Lion and Garen struck him with a pincer attack of Ultimate Flashes. Garen revealed that he could revive without limit, and after Imu exhausted his life force in a contest of endurance, he admitted defeat and asked Garen to kill him.
Garen killed Imu, ending the war and drawing worldwide celebration, then shared a televised victory kiss with Hancock. He confronted the defeated Five Elders and sentenced the Celestial Dragons to face the suffering they had inflicted, while leaving Gorbachev a possible chance at pardon.
Garen and the Alliance took control of Mariejois, freed the slaves, and imprisoned the Celestial Dragons. After discovering that his new skills could heal and revive ordinary people, Garen began considering how they might make the Perennial Youth Operation repeatable and keep his loved ones from aging.
After Robin uncovered the truth of the Void Century in Pangaea Castle, Garen presented her with fireworks and the captured Spandain. Robin accepted the gift and forgave the past, then agreed to study history with Garen at home.
At Syrup Village's construction site, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji welcomed Usopp into their crew and planned to keep training through construction work before setting sail. When the foreman announced the workers would head to the Grand Line to search for the new era's One Piece, Luffy eagerly embraced the news.
After the Alliance settled into its new government, Garen gathered his future wives at his Mary Geoise home and heard about their work and the transformed world. He proposed marrying all six women, and the chapter ended with Nami accepting and the prince and princesses living happily ever after.
Two years after Wano Country opened to the world, Momonosuke and four Kozuki retainers arrived from the past at Oden Castle’s restoration site and fought the workers who mistook them for attackers. They discovered their own elaborate tombs, including a towering grave for Momonosuke, and the chapter left them bewildered about the future.
Kin'emon and the other retainers brought Momonosuke into a modernized Kuri, where they learned Wano had already opened its borders and struggled to understand the Alliance's rule. After an emergency broadcast identified them as terrorists, a passerby recognized the group and kicked Momonosuke away.
Momonosuke and his retainers were mistaken for terrorists in modern Kuri and fought their way through the police before fleeing to the harbor. There, Kin'emon mistook Shutenmaru's labor reform for imprisonment and launched a rescue, while Shutenmaru was left bewildered.
Kin'emon and the other time travelers reunited with Shutenmaru, who revealed that Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi had already died and that Wano was governed by an Alliance. Shutenmaru captured them to earn leniency and merit, while Momonosuke faced an interrogation that ended with the interrogators considering executing him.
Mayor Kato recognized Kin'emon among the captured time travelers and arranged supervised release for him and the others, but Morgans's coverage turned the incident into worldwide news. After the leadership warned Kato that Garen's National Security Committee would investigate, Momonosuke harassed hotel attendants, prompting Kato to order him sent to detention.
Kalifa investigated Momonosuke and the retainers for the Kuri terrorist attack, laying out the laws and likely sentences as their old loyalties began to fracture. After Momonosuke returned to his cell, Kalifa asked Garen why he was so personally interested in the time-traveling boy, and Garen began an enigmatic reply.
Momonosuke passed his juvenile detention assessment and was assigned to work as a forest ranger on Samwell Island in East Blue. After settling into the mountain post, he heard a dog barking nearby.
