Picking up where we left off, after Higashino Kanade tossed Chiron and Heracles into the Floating Garden, Chiron realized what a massive threat it posed and decided to subjugate its master first before going to support Naruto and the others.
The campaign against the garden's master went exceptionally smoothly. Cannon fodder like Dragon Tooth Soldiers were no match for Heracles. He could swat down entire groups of them in just a few blows, clearing them so quickly that Chiron did not even need to intervene. Before long, the two reached the center of the garden.
Looking at the thick, sturdy iron doors before him, Chiron stroked his chin, his brows drawing together slightly.
"If I'm not mistaken, the garden's master is behind these doors, operating the garden to resist the pyramid's attacks. We only need to rush in and kill the enemy to complete the mission."
"However, I have a bad feeling about this. Things have gone far too smoothly. The resistance has been too weak, as though it was specifically meant to lure us here."
"Why did Uchiha Kanade deliberately throw us here? Does he believe the garden's master can kill us? There is most likely a trap beyond those doors!"
Chiron began to consider retreating. Although he had confidence in both Heracles's strength and his own, charging in without first learning what lay beyond the doors seemed far too reckless. Greece might produce no shortage of brutes, but he was a renowned sage.
"Heracles, how about we withdraw for now and search the other rooms for information about the garden's master?"
"Roarrr—"
Heracles let out a blood-eyed roar and swung his stone sword, smashing it repeatedly against the iron doors until he chopped them down in a few strikes.
"Wait!"
Chiron reached out to grab Heracles, but the
