"I don't understand what you're trying to say."
"Royal Teacher, do you truly not understand, or are you pretending to be confused?" Bedivere stepped forward and looked at Higashino Kanade with pleading eyes. "Royal Teacher, you are the anchor that stabilizes the King's humanity. Only when facing you does the King reveal her side as a young girl. That is who she truly was."
"With your wisdom, you must have already noticed that the King is exhausted. During her more than thousand years in the Garden of Avalon, she could never escape the shadow of being King, constantly suppressing her humanity. If this continues, the King, unable to find salvation, will surely end her own life and use death to bring her weary existence to an end."
Bedivere dropped to one knee and pleaded through tears:
"Royal Teacher, the King begs you to save the King! The King... should not meet such an end. Let us subjects bear all the sins."
"..."
Nothing was said for the rest of the night.
The next day, Higashino Kanade woke up in Bedivere's room.
Servants did not need sleep or rest. After Higashino Kanade said he had nowhere to stay, Bedivere readily gave up his bed, and Higashino Kanade shamelessly slept soundly.
Early in the morning, the bells atop Camelot's clock tower rang thunderously. Bedivere woke Higashino Kanade and hurriedly explained:
"The enemy is about to begin their siege! Royal Teacher, please take the walls and lend us your strength!"
Higashino Kanade immediately agreed. He had come here to fight, so how could he refuse such a request?
After climbing the walls by Camelot's main gate, Higashino Kanade looked beyond the city and saw a vast formation of troops and an endless stretch of camps.
Countless Greek Barbarians shouted provocations outside the city.
