But Higashino Kanade had no time to dwell on romance. In a year, he would be fighting in the Fourth Holy Grail War. With only that one short year left, he had a mountain of things to do.
Today, after getting enough rest, Higashino Kanade called Bin-kura Kōryū over to discuss some matters.
The location was still Higashino Kanade's room. Compared to more than a month ago, Bin-kura Kōryū looked noticeably more haggard today. The bags under his eyes were heavy, and despite his young age, he already looked utterly overdrawn. Higashino Kanade could not help worrying about his future happiness.
"Bin-kura, take care of your health. Overworking damages your liver and kidneys!" Higashino Kanade earnestly advised him.
Bin-kura Kōryū's lips twitched. Suppressing the urge to splash the tea in front of him into Higashino Kanade's face, he complained, "Why do you think I'm this exhausted? Isn't it because I'm trying to make your manga popular all over Japan, Teacher Kishimoto?"
"From the look of you, things must be progressing well. Come, report your progress to your boss." Higashino Kanade gestured for him to continue.
Bin-kura Kōryū covered his aching liver with one hand and said with a smile, "With my Future Sight, making a manga popular is easy."
After saying that, Bin-kura Kōryū pulled out a manga magazine. The cover bore the logo of "Weekly Shonen Jump."
"Your manga is on this page."
Bin-kura Kōryū flipped to the back. Over the next few pages, Higashino Kanade's manga, "Naruto Zero," was being serialized.
Although Higashino Kanade's manga occupied very little space and was placed all the way at the back, where it had the least status, it was still practically a miracle for an unknown author's debut work to be serialized in one of Japan's three major manga magazines.
