Wayne definitely hadn't told the truth.

In fact, it wasn't just the Little Badgers who were curious about what had happened. Students from the other Houses were just as curious.

They had been fighting fiercely yesterday, yet today they were sweet as honey. The onlookers were completely caught off guard.

But Wayne stuck firmly to that story. Even when Hermione and Cho asked him about it, he didn't change his answer.

This became one of the unsolved mysteries of the semester. The Slytherin students were also grateful to Wayne.

In their minds, Wayne could have revealed what had really happened the previous night and used it to boost his reputation.

Taking on six prefects alone and winning with ease—if it had been them, they definitely wouldn't have kept such a low profile.

But Wayne hadn't done that, making the Slytherins even friendlier toward him.

Even Ron couldn't help complaining that if the Hufflepuff crest on Wayne's chest hadn't remained unchanged, he would have thought Wayne had transferred Houses.

Headmaster's Office.

Dumbledore and Snape drank hot tea.

"I was only gone for two days, and so much happened at the school." Dumbledore looked somewhat weary. He was already one hundred and ten years old, yet the things he had to worry about had not decreased in the slightest.

Instead, there had been even more of them since this year began.

"Where did you go?" Snape asked directly. There was no need for politeness between him and Dumbledore.

"Eastern Europe. The situation there has been very unstable lately. Caines asked me to help stabilize things."

Caines was the name of the current president of the International Confederation of Wizards.

Unfortunately, Snape didn't care about the outside world. He countered, "You left so confidently. Weren't you afraid Quirrell would take advantage of it?"
