The author of Trust Your Eyes, You Idiot was Malcolm McGonagall.
"McGonagall?" Anton curiously flipped open the book's title page, but unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any information there.
In the wizarding world, the name McGonagall inevitably made Anton think of Professor McGonagall—because McGonagall was a Muggle surname.
"He's Professor McGonagall's younger brother." Anna leaned over for a look, tucking her hair behind her ear. After a moment's thought, she gave Anton a definite answer.
"Professor McGonagall has a brother?" Anton blinked.
"Mm. She has two younger brothers. The older one is named Malcolm, and the youngest is Little Robert." Anna spoke softly. "Their father was a Muggle. Half-blood wizards had a hard time of it back then, and to fight for the right to survive, both brothers joined the Saints."
"Good grief!" Anton muttered. He could almost imagine what must have happened between Professor McGonagall and her two brothers in those days.
Interestingly, Professor McGonagall's mother was a witch from a powerful Pure-blood family, while her father was a Muggle minister.
Yes, one of those religious figures chiefly responsible for the witch hunts.
Malcolm McGonagall seemed to have had a somewhat volatile temperament. From the way the book was written, Anton could almost feel the presence of a bearded, mad wizard, drinking and bellowing as he spoke.
This wizard specialized in Magical Items, though not the prank toys George and Fred made, nor the newfangled Magical Items Arthur came up with, like clocks and cars.
He dealt in the sort of Magical Items made by more traditional wizards. Of course, by modern standards, traditional meant Dark Magic, and all of it could be classified as the work of Dark Wizards.
They probably made things like the Hand of Glory and Shrunken Head sold at Borgin and Burkes.
