"Severus..."
Jillian, the Werewolf, stared blankly at the figure inside the silver, translucent coffin in the sky, and asked in disbelief,
"Voldemort, is he dead?"
Snape let out a deep breath and flashed Jillian a radiant smile. It was an exceptionally sunny smile, more carefree than he had ever been. It was as if someone who had been weighed down for more than ten years had finally cast off every burden, his smile once again brimming with the youthful vitality of a man in his thirties.
This should have been an exhilarating moment. Maybe he should have fallen to his knees and wailed, or wept silently, or felt utterly hollow inside...
But he did none of those things.
He felt only an indescribable lightness and joy. With a bright, youthful smile on his face, he put an arm around Jillian. Even his voice had grown much lighter as he said, "He should have died long ago."
Being held by Severus in front of so many people clearly made Jillian shy. She nestled against Snape's chest, head bowed and cheeks flushed, but couldn't help raising her head to stare at him in a daze.
That's wonderful. Severus finally got his revenge.
She was happy for him.
But some people simply loved to ruin the moment. Dumbledore came over, clicked his tongue, and looked at Snape in amazement before shaking his head. "A fascinating way to disable the Horcruxes."
"But I imagine that if someone figured out your method, he could still use those Horcruxes to come back to life."
Snape was taken aback. After a moment of silence, he finally said, "Then I'll kill him again!"
"Hahahaha~~" Dumbledore laughed as he took off his half-moon spectacles and wiped his eye sockets. "There's no need to go to all that trouble, Severus.
