Anton still had no answer to Auroro's question, but he confirmed something once again.
Whenever Anna came near, the girl would fall into a dormant state. As he watched Auroro turn back into an Obscurus, slip free of the Dementor Robe, and sink into the ring, the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.
He more or less had a guess.
But just as Pedro had said, since this "past that might have existed" had appeared because of himself in the "present," there was no need to dwell on it too much. Anton turned more of his attention to the changes between the Obscurus and the Dementor Robe.
He caught the falling Dementor Robe and closed his eyes, gazing at its reflection in the Lake of the Mind.
Oh, this reflective ability was probably an advanced version of combining several spells, such as Eye Magic, Magic Image drawing, and the Goblin Memory Sorting Secret Method. It was incredibly useful.
Aurora's face within the black robe once again turned into a mass of twisted black lines, like smoke, with flashes of red lightning appearing and vanishing within it...
"The black lines and red lightning of an Obscurus..."
Anton's eyes widened abruptly as he stared at the Dementor Robe in his hand, the corner of his lips curving upward.
"Ha ha, I've finally figured it out!"
"An Obscurus is the combination of a soul and a body! Its greatest difference from a wizard is that it lacks a 'Soul Shell'!"
"A Dementor's black robe essentially makes up for that missing part!"
"Perhaps I can put it this way: an Obscurus is an Obscurial's second Magic Outburst, but the magic carried by overwhelming emotions bursts through the 'Soul Shell,' causing the Obscurus to grow. Hmm, that's a good idea. I should write it down
