Anton had first realized that he had a certain amount of influence on the international stage.

And so the grandiose "Apocalypse Ark Boarding Plan" got underway. He had no idea which genius had come up with that name.

It seemed no prompting from him was needed. So many people had thrown themselves into it with unbelievable enthusiasm, especially the Muggle officials from various countries.

They seemed to be treating the relocation of the city's residents as some kind of rehearsal.

Even Dumbledore and Grindelwald seemed excited about it.

Sometimes Anton just couldn't understand how these people's minds worked, much like the people in the city who were recklessly letting the fires of war rage.

He had even seen the Muggle military fighting among themselves. Were they taking the opportunity to hold free military exercises and practice urban warfare? Then what was the point of throwing bombs into residential buildings?

Wizards and Muggles fighting each other, wizards fighting wizards...

The arrival of Squibs, those unique combatants, was especially notable. It wasn't just the Squib mercenaries under Grindelwald and Voldemort. Some wizarding factions had raised Squibs specifically to take advantage of the Fantastic Beasts bloodlines they'd inherited, training them in particular kinds of magic. They could even be more powerful than ordinary wizards.

Most absurdly, some of the city's residents had come out and joined the fighting, too. They weren't after profit or trying to gain anything. They were simply shouting, "The world is ending!" and doing all sorts of crazy things.

New York had descended into chaos.

Human nature was always impossible to fathom.

Anton didn't care about any of that. His belief in "Wizards as Gods" described a state of mind for casting spells. It didn't mean he actually thought of himself as a god.
