In Anton's eyes, Sirius was practically a grown-up Harry Potter. They were extremely similar in many ways.
Straightforward, impulsive, and blunt.
People like that could be quite lovable sometimes.
Sirius told Remus and Anton to wait at home, then charged into the fireplace in a rush. A blaze of green flames engulfed him, and he vanished.
A long while later, he stepped out of the fireplace carrying a suitcase.
Thump~
He tossed the suitcase onto the table. The old clasp couldn't withstand such rough treatment and burst open, revealing a jumble of books inside.
Clack~
Another large glass bottle landed on the table, filled with a viscous red liquid.
"What's this..." Anton carefully examined the solution in the bottle, then blinked. "Blood?"
Remus stared in shock at Sirius, whose face was a little pale. "Your blood?"
Sirius casually ruffled his hair. "Some of the Dark Magic memories and talents I got from merging with Barty Crouch Jr. have come in handy. At least I can use magic to draw this blood without cutting a big gash in myself."
"Why would I want your blood?" Remus leaned back slightly.
"No, it's for him!" Sirius pointed at Anton. "I didn't know what to give you. Since this little fellow likes Magic, these books from the Black family are yours."
He roughly pulled a book from the suitcase and pointed to a spot on its cover. "Normally, these just look like gibberish. But if you smear blood from a direct male descendant of the Black family here, they'll return to their original form."
"Clearly, they were no use to Cygnus Black's daughters. At least he left me something valuable."
As he spoke, he picked up the glass bottle, flipped open the cap with his thumb, and poured a little onto the book cover.
