Anton had a vague sense that Professor Trelawney's Divination had a great deal in common with the faint yet far-reaching qualities of the magical power in the sphere's environment.

The world of magic was as vast as a sea of smoke. It was as though he had pulled one loose thread from a tangled mess and gently drawn out a long string of fruit.

To use a not-quite-apt analogy, it was as if he had found a certain frequency on a magical level.

At this frequency, in this dimension, certain spells such as the Levitation Charm and Weather Charm, some Ritual Magic, the relationship between humans and the ambient magical power, the unique breeding of Dark Magic Creatures, and Professor Trelawney's Divination all seemed to play a part.

Anton lumped all of this into the realm of Gray Magic. Building on the theory in his self-compiled book, Wizards as Gods, it became more advanced knowledge.

Within this realm, Charms, Potions, Dark Magic Creatures, Ritual Magic, and Divination seemed to form five areas that could be studied in depth.

Anton wasn't sure whether there were any other areas connected to this realm of Gray Magic.

Before he knew it, he was startled to realize that he hadn't taken a narrow, secluded path at all. Instead, he had grasped a beating heart, powerful and vigorous, pumping blood along countless paths into countless fields and nourishing them all.

When he left the tower, Anton looked back. His mind turned to the magic he hadn't been able to sense while Professor Trelawney was performing her Divination, and the faint, distinctive magical fluctuations that had lingered after it was over.

"There must be some subtle change between them!"

His eyes shone with fervor.
