Looking down from Sanctuary Tower, he saw a few Muggles picnicking on the lawns of Central Park or leisurely basking in the sun. The changes in the Wizarding World didn't seem to have affected the Muggle world at all.
Everything seemed so peaceful and tranquil.
That was until a group of Wizards carrying signs crossed the park from one corner, heading toward the Magical Congress Building in New York.
They appeared in twos and threes from all corners, joining together into a river of people. They waved flags and held signs high, their figures flickering beneath the trees as their shouts drifted faintly through the air.
Of course, none of the commotion caught the Muggles' attention.
The Wizards shouted as they walked past Muggles lounging in swimsuits on deck chairs, wearing Magic Mirrors as they sunbathed; past young couples chasing each other before tumbling onto the grass; and past Muggle students cosplaying as Wizards.
No one could see them, and they didn't bother the Muggles.
After Voldemort took power, the wanton violations of the "International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy" that people had imagined never happened. Wizards still did their utmost to avoid appearing in front of Muggles.
A veil of Mist shimmered before Anton's eyes. Within it, the Wizards shouted in unison: "Witch Hunters must die! Witch Hunters must die!! Witch Hunters must die!!!..."
