As Dumbledore left Hogwarts amid rising tensions, Lupin took the Cabin members into the Forbidden Forest to seek an Angnagara that could erase wand records.

• Anton learned that the Witch Tribe’s transformation art cursed fathers to become Great White Bears whose power eventually strengthened their daughters, and he created a replacement formula through Ritual Magic.
• Anton confronted Megan’s attempt to use him and Daniel as leverage, after which Daral apologized and gave him the tribe’s records on its transformation art.

Anton’s experiments and the accusations against him unfolded alongside Dumbledore’s curse and Voldemort’s return. After killing Dumbledore and being sent to Azkaban, Anton studied a Dementor and reunited Sirius with news of Remus Lupin.

• Anton taught Anna to control Angnagara’s transformations and proposed using Animagus Transformation to master her Blood Curse.
• Anton challenged Professor Harris to a duel, then used earthen werewolves to drive him into the Black Lake as Snape recognized signs of an organized plot.
• Anton demonstrated his soul-copy method to Professor McGonagall, used it to restore Elphinstone from the Venomous Tentacula, and took Anna underground to address her Blood Curse.
• Harris’s accusations that Anton had used Werewolf Venom spread through the Daily Prophet as Dumbledore collapsed from a curse, and Anton evaded intruders at his home before escaping with Anna.
• Dumbledore returned to Hogwarts, and Anton transformed into an Augurey and announced that Voldemort had returned as the Dark Mark appeared over the castle.
• Voldemort entered the Hospital Wing, tortured Rita, and left after Dumbledore challenged him, while Dumbledore’s curse left him near death.

Anton explored Dementors, Dark Magic, and transformation while imprisoned in Azkaban, eventually changing Rodolphus and Rookwood and drawing Lucius into his plans. The arc ended with Rookwood emerging from his grave transformed and ready to serve Anton.

• Anton used the Pale Spine to explore the Dementor World, unleashing a silver wave through Azkaban that freed prisoners from their emotional restraints and revealed a vast sea of human memories and negative emotions.
• Grindelwald warned Anton that Muggles were secretly capturing wizards and experimenting on other magical beings, while Anton considered ways to awaken magic in people with wizard blood.
• Anton wrote books on werewolves and bloodlines, then transformed Rodolphus into a Great White Bear and extracted his soul to free him from the effects of uncontrolled Dark Magic.
• Rodolphus transformed again, seized Bellatrix Lestrange, and accused her of serving the Dark Lord rather than being his wife.
