Aftermath

"Hiss..."

Neji clutched his head and opened his eyes. After entering this room, the drug he had taken had gradually begun to take effect.

By the end, he had practically lost consciousness, but he still remembered scattered fragments of what he had done.

Neji looked down and saw that he was completely naked. Beside him lay a naked woman, her back facing him so he could not see her face.

Neji merely glanced at her before quickly turning away, not daring to look again, because her body was covered in traces of their wild encounter.

He looked toward the bedside, where his clothes lay.

The moment Neji shifted his body, the woman beside him murmured in her sleep, "Neji, don't..."

Those four words exploded beside Neji's ears like thunder. How could he possibly fail to recognize Tenten's voice?

"Tenten..."

Neji called out hoarsely, his mind in complete chaos.

Why was it Tenten?

Why was Tenten here?

Had Tenten come to save me, and I...?

Neji felt as though he was about to go mad.

At that moment, Tenten opened her eyes blearily.

When she saw that Neji was awake, there was a trace of resentment in her gaze.

Seeing the grievance in Tenten's eyes, Neji felt as if the sky had collapsed.

"Tenten, what happened? Why are you here? I... we...?"

"Did I force you?"

Seeing the overwhelming guilt and tenderness in Neji's eyes, Tenten reached out and hugged him.

"Don't worry, Neji. I did it willingly..."

A weight lifted from Neji's heart, only to be replaced by immense confusion.

"What exactly happened?"

Tenten rested her head against Neji's chest. "Lord Senyo helped switch us."

"Now that we've done this, Lord Orochimaru can't do anything."

Neji had not known that Senyo had intervened in this matter in such a way.
