Kakashi found it hard to adapt to Obito's enthusiasm. He exchanged a glance with Minato and walked over to the cell.
"I've brought Kakashi."
Minato spoke calmly, his expression neither distant nor warm, utterly neutral.
"Where's Rin?" White Zetsu Obito looked around. When he failed to spot Rin, disappointment visibly washed over his face.
Minato shook his head, but Kakashi spoke up beside him. "Rin won't be coming."
"Is that so?" Obito looked somewhat dejected.
But he quickly pulled himself together. "It's fine. I'm already very happy to see you two."
Watching White Zetsu Obito's emotions shift like that, Kakashi seemed to see the familiar shadow of the boy he once knew.
But he was already thirty years old. He would not be so naive.
He looked at Obito with slight wariness. "Who exactly are you? Why do you look like Obito?"
