Senyo took Naruto, Hinata, Sasuke, Gaara, and Karin through the impoverished Land of Waves and explained how poverty and prosperity depended on having strength to protect resources. As they returned, he warned that Konoha faced another border war in about a month and urged the children to stay vigilant.

Dan Katō trained Kurama Yakumo to use the Spirit Transformation Technique while Anko expanded Light’s Tsuchigumo Secret Mark in Orochimaru’s laboratory. As war approached, Anko told Light she would take her to witness the coming Great Ninja War.
