Lester charges a flat twenty percent, which is quite reasonable given his abilities in reality.
However, if he had a choice, he'd prefer Pavel, who has a good attitude and only charges two percent.
Merlin rubbed his throbbing temples. The amount of knowledge rewarded today was immense, and he needed some time to process it.
Still, the excitement in his heart temporarily overshadowed the pain in his head.
With Lester's hacking skills, he could finally start building the simulator in reality.
"Clatter..." Just as Merlin was envisioning the real-world simulator project, the roller shutter door suddenly lifted.
Immediately after, a tough-looking, burly, and upright strongman walked in.
"We're closed for the day, come back Saturday..." Merlin turned around, but upon seeing the person who entered, he couldn't help but freeze.
His gaze fell on the black T-shirt with a skull printed on the chest.
"You know me?" Frank looked at the young man in front of him, dressed in work clothes with a still-youthful face, with some surprise. After looking around and finding no one else, he finally confirmed that the person before him was the owner of the modification shop spoken of in the underworld.
"Of course, you're quite famous lately. Let me think, what do they say in the underworld..." Merlin pondered for a moment, "A smart fool who actually wants to use the law to punish those Mexicans and Irishmen."
"Yeah, that's what they say," he said, clapping his hands with certainty.
Frank: "..."
If it weren't for the other person's young age, he would have taught him a lesson long ago.
Well, he was the one who needed something from him.
"I need to buy some goods," he said in a low voice, stating his purpose directly.
Frank, having completely despaired of the city's laws, decided to take revenge for his wife and daughter in his own way.
Merlin stared at Frank for a while, until the latter's expression became somewhat unnatural, before finally saying, "It's past my closing time, but for you, I can make an exception and work overtime. Follow me."
With that, he stood up and walked towards the backyard.
Frank glanced at the Bevel Magic Treasure on the workbench, then quickly followed.
Upon seeing the rows of peculiar sports cars in the back, he couldn't help but be a little surprised.
"Over here." Merlin waved him over from in front of the warehouse door.
Frank stepped into the warehouse, and the first thing that caught his eye was a neatly organized arsenal, exuding a cold aura under the incandescent lights.
But for a man, seeing this scene was enough to make his blood boil.
Frank's hands were already itching.
"Click!" While he was marveling, Merlin had already taken a handgun from a wall rack.
"Armor-Piercing Handgun, basic magazine capacity of eighteen rounds, expandable to thirty-six with an extended magazine, supports full auto."
Handgun, full auto... The moment he heard those two words, Frank lost interest.
Generally, due to being hand-held, if a handgun can fire in full auto, the recoil would lead to reduced accuracy. If a foregrip is used to stabilize the recoil, one might as well buy a submachine gun.
Merlin could tell what he was thinking from his expression, so he didn't say much more. Instead, he raised the Armor-Piercing Handgun and aimed it at a distant metal target.
"Da da da..."
"Bang bang bang..." Sparks quickly flashed on the steel target.
Frank's eyes widened a bit. He could see very clearly that the tremor when the handgun fired in full auto was minimal.
Its stability was no less than that of a submachine gun.
"I usually recommend this handgun when customers have their armored Batmobiles modified in my shop," Merlin said, casually tossing the Armor-Piercing Handgun to him.
Frank caught the handgun and noticed that the area around the bore was much thicker than on a regular handgun, with some kind of buffering device seemingly installed inside.
"Pump-Action Shotgun, equipped with Explosive Rounds, basically one shot per car."
"And the Vulcan Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher..."
Merlin introduced them one by one.
"And the MK2 Sniper Rifle made in the last half month, along with Explosive Rounds and Armor-Piercing Rounds. It's quite effective for assassinations when equipped with a night vision scope."
"These are very popular. You're lucky; they might be gone in a couple of days."
"Do you need a vehicle? The Bevel Magic Treasure in the workshop just finished. It guarantees you unimpeded passage on the streets."
Looking at the arsenal equipped with everything from rocket launchers to Gatling heavy machine guns, Frank was overwhelmed.
He hadn't expected this young man, who looked so young, to possess such a terrifying stockpile of weapons.
Furthermore, the performance of the various peculiar weapons astonished him.
But no matter how tempting these weapons and vehicles were, Frank could only look on with envy; his pockets were empty.
After the introduction, Merlin seemed to have noticed Frank's predicament.
"If you're short on cash, I actually have a way."
"What way?" Frank meticulously polished the MK2 Heavy Sniper Rifle in his hands, his eyes full of affection.
"Become a Player and play the game."
"Play the game?" He froze upon hearing that. His first thought was e-sports, followed closely by the survival games of underground wealthy organizations.
After all, with his current abilities, the latter was the most suitable for him.
"I'll send you a game website in a couple of days. You can just pick up missions as you see them."
"And I'm one of the Players. For now, you can think of me as an NPC merchant in the game who provides weapons."
Hearing Merlin's words, Frank's eyes immediately flickered. The first thing that came to his mind was a massive criminal organization operating behind the scenes.
However, all he wanted now was to avenge his family, so he didn't pay much attention to it.
He pondered for a moment, then nodded.
"Okay, I'll leave it to you then."
Although he didn't have much money, before leaving, Frank spent all of it to buy an MK2 Sniper Rifle, a large quantity of regular bullets, and three Explosive Rounds.
After Merlin packed them into a wooden box for him, he prepared to see the other man off.
However, as the two of them reached the doorway, a mysterious figure in a red, tight-fitting suit and hood, completely covered up, appeared before them.
Frank narrowed his eyes.
"Daredevil!"
"The door's open, just come in. Standing outside is liable to scare people."
"And when can you change this outfit? It's too ugly," Merlin pouted, clearly having known him for a long time.
"Who is this guy?" Matt ignored his complaint and turned to Frank.
"Frank, my client. Don't do anything rash here. Once you leave the custom shop, you're on your own."
Matt fell silent for a moment, clearly recalling information about Frank's identity.
