Brooklyn, New York.

After the Muggle taxi carrying Amosta and Amelia crossed the Brooklyn Bridge connecting Manhattan Island and the Brooklyn District, it headed east along the East River for ten minutes before turning west. After passing down a road lined with lush plane trees, it stopped beside a quiet, tranquil street.

The cool evening breeze of early night drifted through the broad, clean streets. The dim yellow glow cast by the streetlights lent an elegant air to the light-brown walls of the not particularly tall, yet imposing, antique-style buildings on either side.

There were few pedestrians on the road, only the occasional Muggle entering or leaving the upscale restaurants and hotels lining the street.

Amosta watched several Muggles step out of a luxury car and hurry into a hotel. Then he withdrew his gaze and surveyed the surroundings.

He had to devote himself wholeheartedly to his work and carry out the matters Amosta had instructed him to handle.

Thus, he could no longer accompany Amosta to this highly suspicious and equally dangerous appointment. At his insistence, Amosta agreed to bring Amelia along.

It was not that Remus expected Amelia to protect Amosta if danger arose. Rather, at least at a critical moment, Amelia could provide her wand.

"Hmm—"
