After the Great Toad Sage warned Shinichi Hyuga about the danger of provoking the Otsutsuki, Shinichi considered hiding Earth and received a Mount Myōboku scroll on Sealing Jutsu. Back at Spark Laboratory, he asked Orochimaru for his Impure World Reincarnation research, and Orochimaru demanded the Rinnegan in Shinichi's collection in exchange.

• Shinichi Hyuga weighed the danger of developing the Shinobi World into an interstellar power and considered concealing Earth's coordinates from the Otsutsuki.
• The Great Toad Sage gave Shinichi an ancient scroll of Mount Myōboku's powerful Sealing Jutsu, then fell asleep from the apparent cost of his prophecy.
• Shinichi left Mount Myōboku before Sage Shima could serve him a meal and returned to Spark Laboratory.
• Kushina agreed to help Shinichi study the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, but Orochimaru demanded Shinichi's collected Rinnegan in exchange for his Impure World Reincarnation research.
