Andy completed his fusion with the Obscurus, explored its risks with Grindelwald and Dumbledore, and helped Dumbledore uncover Regulus Black’s role in hiding a Horcrux. As the World Cup approached, Andy’s divination foresaw Voldemort’s attack, but the Ministry chose to proceed with the match and Andy agreed to confront the attacker.

• Andy discovered that his mind and magic had fused, tested his immense new power, and consulted Grindelwald and Dumbledore about the Obscurus and its dangers.
• Andy joined Dumbledore and Harry at the cave containing a Horcrux, burned away its underwater defenses, and helped retrieve the locket and R.A.B.’s note.
• Kreacher identified R.A.B. as Regulus Black and recounted how Regulus took the real locket from Voldemort’s cave before dying in the lake.
• Andy failed to get a job at Borgin and Burkes, while Voldemort arrived at the shop soon after he left.
• Andy joined Hermione, Isabel, Harry, and the others at the World Cup, where his Crystal Ball showed a panicked crowd and the Dark Mark above the venue.
• Andy warned Lupin and Mr. Weasley about the vision and asked Aberforth to notify Dumbledore, while the Ministry decided not to stop the match.

Andy helped prepare for Voldemort’s attack at the Quidditch World Cup, then traveled back in time to the Ministry battle and secretly confronted Voldemort, taking part of his arm. After learning of Voldemort’s plan to use the Vanishing Cabinets for an attack on Hogwarts, Andy became the focus of a scheme to feed him false information while Voldemort pursued the Deathly Hallows.

• Andy and Hermione waited at the World Cup grounds until Death Eaters attacked, and Andy and Sirius found the Ministry’s defenses compromised before Fawkes carried Andy to Dumbledore.
• Dumbledore told Andy that Snape was secretly feeding false intelligence to the Phoenix Society, recruited Slughorn as Hogwarts’ new Potions professor, and discussed Horcruxes and Magical Transformation with Andy.
• Andy used a Time-Turner to reach the Ministry during Voldemort’s battle with Dumbledore, then followed a fleeing Death Eater to Voldemort’s hideout.
• Andy ambushed Voldemort and his followers, severed part of Voldemort’s arm, and forced Voldemort to retreat after their spells clashed.
• Voldemort decided to eliminate Andy and Dumbledore and seek a foothold in Europe, while Andy took Hermione on a date and read the Prophet’s account of the Ministry battle.
• Rita Skeeter told Andy that Death Eaters were active around Borgin’s shop, and Andy captured Amicus Carrow, who revealed Voldemort’s plan to use the Vanishing Cabinets at Borgin’s and Hogwarts.
• Snape told Voldemort that Andy possessed the Resurrection Stone and had studied the Invisibility Cloak, while Voldemort considered whether the Deathly Hallows were at Hogwarts.
• Amicus returned to Voldemort and described Andy’s capture and release, and Voldemort ordered Snape to investigate Hogwarts and the Hallows while planning to use Amicus to mislead Andy.

Andy returned to Hogwarts, began studying alchemy and the hidden history of wizarding society, and gained a chilling power from the Death Dimension. As Voldemort struck Diagon Alley and Grindelwald reappeared, Andy suspected their plans were connected and questioned whether Dumbledore could face both threats.

• Malfoy told Andy that former Death Eaters wanted to abandon Voldemort and support him, and Andy directed them to seek Dumbledore’s help while making Malfoy their liaison.
• Andy and Hermione investigated alchemy and the concealed history of wizarding society, and the Lady Grey told them that wizards had hidden the truth about wars over enslaving Muggles.
• Dumbledore learned that Grindelwald had escaped Nurmengard and decided to find and stop him, while keeping the news secret.
• Andy spent five Potential Points to raise his Constitution, releasing a freezing Death Chill that he learned could hinder opponents.
• Harry told Andy about a dream of Voldemort killing Mr. Borgin’s boss, and Andy warned Harry and Ron that Death Eaters might disguise themselves as students.
• After Death Eaters defeated Ministry forces in Diagon Alley while Dumbledore was absent, Andy told Hermione that Grindelwald had escaped and concluded the two enemies had coordinated their actions.
• Andy and Hermione heard that Auror Anna’s father had died in the battle, and Andy said Dumbledore would have to confront Voldemort before dealing with Grindelwald.
• Professor McGonagall reprimanded Sirius for blaming Slytherin students, then invited Andy and Hermione to her office, where Andy asked whether Transfiguration could permanently alter matter.

Andy helped Dumbledore destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes and defeat him, then turned his attention to Grindelwald and the mysteries of magic. As the Ministry concealed Voldemort’s death, Scrimgeour questioned Andy and began to suspect Dumbledore’s conflict with Grindelwald hid a larger experiment.

• McGonagall sent Andy and Hermione through a secret passage to meet Dumbledore, who asked Andy to help destroy Voldemort’s final Horcrux and stay with Harry.
• Andy, Harry, and Hermione waited at the Hog’s Head while Dumbledore confronted Voldemort, and Andy used Legilimency to learn that Bellatrix had hidden Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup in her Gringotts vault.
• Andy broke into Gringotts, destroyed the Cup with Fiendfyre, freed the chained Dragon, and fought the Death Eaters waiting outside the vault.
• Andy returned to Riddle Manor with Harry and Snape, where Voldemort revealed Nagini was dead and recognized Harry as his last Horcrux.
• Andy stalled Voldemort while Dumbledore explained Harry’s situation, and Andy and Dumbledore defeated Voldemort after Dumbledore and Harry returned to the hall.
• Dumbledore warned Andy that his growing power could make him disregard others and leave society, while Andy said he would consider the warning.
• Andy contacted Grindelwald, discussed the Deathly Hallows and magic, and agreed not to interfere with him as the Ministry prepared to capture him.
• The Ministry concealed Voldemort’s death for a week, and Scrimgeour questioned Andy about the Gringotts attack, Rita Skeeter, and Dumbledore’s conflict with Grindelwald.
