Tang San is highly secretive and methodical. When Xiao Wu notices his concern over the Planar Consciousness, he deflects with a claim that he is merely lamenting the Tang Sect’s decline, while privately arranging a far more consequential plan for Xiao Qi. 22 He relies on long-term contingencies, surveillance, political alliances, and control of Power of Faith to preserve his position. 229 293 454

His composure deteriorates when his plans concerning Xiao Qi, Huo Yuhao, or Niu Tian and Tai Tan are disrupted. The shattering of part of Tang Wutong’s soul drives him from fury into panic, while their apparent betrayal provokes open Asura killing intent. 192 542 Even so, he can quickly redirect a disadvantage into political maneuvering, such as convening the gods after his unauthorized battle with Huo Yuhao. 551
