Now that he had a new large-scale testing ground, Su Hao divided each day into two parts.
He stayed in Marble Space in the mornings, reading and studying; spent the afternoons frantically modifying the genes of various animals; then entered Marble Space again at night to read and study.
His life was exceptionally regular.
The purpose of modifying their genes was to evolve them into Exotic Beasts of every Sequence while implanting within them the attack fragment corresponding to "Gene Toxin 2," then ensuring that fragment was passed down generation after generation.
Once their numbers reached a certain level,
he began releasing them into the already enclosed Experimental Beast Zone.
Later, Su Hao found the process too inefficient, so he force-bred these gene-modified Exotic Beasts with aphrodisiacs. Once they reproduced to a sufficient number, he released them into the zone.
Not only that, Su Hao worried that the Exotic Beasts he had worked so hard to create would stupidly enter the Barrier Zone and throw away their lives. So he developed a Repellent Shrub and planted it all around the inner ring of the Barrier Zone. It gave off a foul, pungent stench that made all approaching creatures automatically steer clear.
Step by step, he refined the project, actively solving every problem he encountered, and it made tremendous progress.
Su Hao kept up this life for two years. He was twenty-six years old.
With his upgraded brain, his learning progressed at a breakneck pace. Like a sponge drinking in water, he absorbed an immense volume of knowledge.
It also gave him a deeper understanding of this world and this universe. At the same time, he mastered more and better patterns of thought, gradually changing the very nature of his thinking and taking firm strides toward becoming a true genius.
